The Scott Peterson trial starts today. There has been much debate around my office over whether or not he killed Laci, and the general consensus is yes.
The sticking point for me is that I find it very iffy that a guy would leave his 8-month pregnant wife on Christmas Eve to go fishing by himself. I just think that’s weird. And he sold her car after she had only been missing a few weeks. Don’t you think that a grieving husband would hold on to any shred of hope that she would come back, and keep things just the way they were? His behavior is just too questionable. And to have her body wash up just two miles from where he said he was “fishing”? That is a HUGE coincidence. But we’ll see what the jury thinks…
