We had a very lovely Christmas. I got a kick ass new iPod from my mommy and daddy, a beautiful new purse from my hubby (all of you who know me well know what a huge handbag whore I am), along with the Lord of the Rings DVD box set (woo hoo!), the Star Wars DVD box set and a digital photography book.
Then we went over to his grandparents’ house and hung out with his family for a while. That was great. His cousins were there and they are a riot, especially his five year old cousin Eraine, who sat on my lap and played patty-cake with me for like an hour.
Then we went to dinner at a yummy Chinese restaurant in West Hollywood with our very good friends Kate, Neil, Ryan, Daria, Michael and Christine.
It was a very different Christmas than I am used to, since we didn’t have any parental-unit or sibling types around and instead spent it with friends. But it was great, and it reminded me that you don’t have to be related to someone in order for them to be family.
