Jerry Orbach, aka Law & Order’s Lenny Briscoe, Baby Houseman’s father in Dirty Dancing, and the voice of the candelabra, Lumiere, in Beauty & the Beast, has died from prostate cancer at the age of 69. I am a huge L & O fan, and he was my favorite character. They always gave him the worst one-liners, but he delivered them as if he knew how horrible they were. I’ll miss him.
