Oy.

That’s really all I have to say about this. And the Go Fug Yourself girls are the best.

R.I.P. Peter Jennings

I was shocked tonight to hear that Peter Jennings has died of lung cancer. I had no idea he was sick. We were in Europe when he announced his illness, and I never knew until I heard the news until tonight that he had passed away. I’m really sad - he was my favorite news anchor. There was just something special about him. When he talked, you listened. When he reported the news, you believed him. He just seemed like a very nice man. It is truly the end of an era.

Creed-tastic

From Defamer:

“Whether this story is true or not, it’s almost enough to make us feel bad for Scott Stapp. But then we remember the tune of “Arms Wide Open,” and oh, how we laugh. One gets what one deserves after driving two hours to Gainesville to break off a piece of booty.”

Sorry sorry sorry

I know I’ve been sucking on the posting lately. I’ve been busy(!) with work and such, and just not very talkative. I haven’t found anything really that I want to link to.

I’ve found a couple new (well, new to me) blogs that I have been enjoying very much. The first is Julie’s A Little Pregnant, and Soper’s Uterine Wars. Both women have struggled with infertility with very different outcomes - Julie now has a bouncing six-month old boy named Charlie, and Soper is currently in Kazakhstan adopting a baby girl. They’re both bitingly funny, insightful, and touching. Check them out!

Nice.

Bush bypasses Senate approval and appoints John Bolton as UN Ambassador. Is there no limit to the level of obvious contempt he has for the rest of the world?
