Currently totally obsessed with the soundtrack to O Brother Where Art Thou. If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you know that I am not a religious person, nor do I actually believe in god, but damn do I love me some gospel music. Alison Krauss singing “Down to the River to Pray” ABSOLUTELY KILLS ME.

That song has helped me get through my internship. I’m not religious either. I also like “Didn’t leave nobody but the baby” always makes me think of that scene in the movie with the “river sirens” and they wake up and think their friend got turned into a toad.
One of the best soundtracks ever. I was completely obsessed with it when that movie came out.
I do believe in God, and I also loved this soundtrack when it came out. I think music can be a completely spiritual experience and that is an awesome song, you’re right.
